I just had a birthday. It was the first time that I am this old. It is the first time that I had a birthday without both my mother and my father. It was the first time that I had all my family there.
My birthday was last Friday. I spent it with all my kids, my wife, my brother and his family. It was great. I then spent the weekend with my best friends. It was great.
The most amazing thing was the thought in the birthday cards. It wasn’t the beauty of the graphics, or the words someone else wrote, but the words my daughters wrote.

My 11 year old wrote “Never forget how important you are”.
My eldest daughter wrote “My dad is funny, artistic and creative, and I would never want another one.”

Lionel Gherkin is a sad sack with good reason, the poor bastard. You can read why in
Along for the ride is Shelby Wright. Shelby is ahighly respected and well-to-do-man-about-town. He is the group's cultural attache; its conscience but not really its heart.
And let's not forget Brenda Spoon. The lovely of the group. She a humourous bone that'll grab you like a meat hook and then tenderise like a piece of steak. People tell me she's hilarious; and who knows, one day I may even laugh at them.
