My daughters’ words
I just had a birthday. It was the first time that I am this old. It is the first time that I had a birthday without both my mother and my father.
It was the first time that I had all my family there. My birthday was last Friday. I spent it with all my kids, my wife, my brother and his family.
It was great.
I then spent the weekend with my best friends.
It was great.
The most amazing thing was the thought in the birthday cards. It wasn’t the beauty of the graphics, or the words someone else wrote, but the words my daughters wrote.
My 11 year old wrote “Never forget how important you are”. My eldest daughter wrote “My dad is funny, artistic and creative, and I would never want another one.” What more could a dad ask?
