He has never told me a joke before. My mother had told me jokes before, but never my father. It was interesting. And the joke wasn’t too bad either.

My father’s visitors
A few months ago I received a call from the hospital. It was the Registrar on duty. I knew my father had gone there for a routine check up earlier in the day.

I do feel the needle going in. I clench my teeth and try to hide my face so the dripping sweat can’t be seen. After a few needle pricks the doctor goes off to get some “tools” to perform the procedure.
